My tenant is leaving a few days earlier. I am the owner/agent for this property & we agreed that I would return the money for the days not lived. It's much easier for me to show the property this way since they wanted a 24hr notice & I already had agents that wanted to show it asap & couldn't. Do I have to let their agent know that I will be doing the inspection tonight? She already knows they purchased a house & will be moving.
Thanks.

I am totally confused. You say you are the agent for the property .. so who is their agent? Do you mean you are the owner/listing agent for the property they are now renting? And by "their agent" you mean their buyer's agent for the property they are buying?

And is the inspection you are doing tonight the conventional "move-out" inspection for a vacating tenant?

If all the above is true, what interest/role does the buyer's agent for a different property have to play in this?

If I have misread who's who, please let me know.

That makes more sense, 'cause what you had earlier stated is a bit confusing. Anyway I am glad that it has all worked out for now. But correct me if I am wrong here, does not the tenant sign a lease, by which he or she has to pay for the term of a certain period? Anyway I am sure that it is all right now,
