It says on the "about us" that the lead team is certified through NABPOP, wonder if that means we will have to as well to perform BPOS?

Ok, I haven't received the invite yet. But when I did a search on Google, here is what I got back:

"Welcome to Equi-Trax Asset Solutions.
eMortgage Logic offers quality evaluations (CMA, BPO and Appraisal) through its network of real estate professionals.
www.equi-trax.com/ - 3k - Cached - Similar pages"

So either EML has a sister company now in CA or Mindbrix used the EML model and forgot to change the internet description. That is how I think/thought is was an "old company, new name".

Anyways, I am signed and ready to go, probably another Finiti where orders never appear!

Safeguard uses mindbrix also. But the ID that i had pop up was the one I have for Safeguard and not for EML.

Nope probably the same..notice in the fee portion (I couldn't fill out) that it was blank...are they gonna give the BPO's to the lowest bidder?

I got the e-mail yesterday but am reluctant to take on anything more. As a one person operation I am about as saturated as I want to be at this time.

At my age, with retirement as an option and wanting to still "have a life" (apart from real estate), I have all the work I really want.

Yeah I would want to see the fees. Unless I am getting 90 to over 100 dollars I am not doing them anymore as I am focused on my listings which make me much more per hour.

Can someone please tell me what an "APR" is under the section of services I can perform for this company?

By the way, they had my EML data too.

I wasn't able to check inspection, but I culd check APR. That doens't make sense.

Based on their application form I think this is a sister company of EML...If it's not litagation is just a step away. EML's job posting board dried up this week which makes me think this is a sister company and new work should start this coming week. One of the current postings stated "I hope they pay better". EML pays pretty much what the standard has been. I had one other company (major player) pay me $100 for an interior, then next order $40 for exterior, then next order $55 for interior....turned the last one down......At least at EML no games are played and a great company to do business with. EML is by far my favorite to work with.....great communication, easy forms to complete, and they pay every two weeks like clock work. I just completed my 50th BPO in 10 weeks for them. I'm slowly weeding out the companies that I prefer not doing business with. I can only hope my assumption is correct about this being a sister company as my loyality is with EML.

I love EML too. They just sent out checks on Friday and mine was in the mailbox on Saturday! They are the quickest to pay by far. Interesting to see what this new company has to offer.

Jim:

Have you ever had EML form "G". While I agree that EML is generally a good company to work for, saying that their forms are easy can only be based on the form they assign a property to. Form "G" is a BPO verison of an URAR.

Only people who have only been doing BPOs for 6 months or less can say that $50 (if you get the 'bonus') is 'standard'.

I have only had that form twice and know what you mean. I'm sseing more of this the past few months with other BPO companies. Apparently it's what their clients want and we have a choice to make. I knock out about 15 to 20 BPO's per week along with working with my buyers and sellers. If it becomes too time consuming I will either cut back the number of orders I take or just go onto another company. EML has been good to me so I tend to lien their way more than most agents would.

Only doing BPO's for 6 months?......hmmmmm......Let me see now
....My first BPO was in Arizona in 1979......price $40...when they said drive by that's exactly what it was....no pictures and no comps. I would go back to the office and pull up the tax rolls and see the current assessment and add 10% to that figure and would be very close to appraised value. Those were the good days...now we have to work for our money. As for $50 being the norm that applies to my area only. It may be more in the city of San Francisco. We have a ton of agents here competing for orders...most of mine are now called into me directly. I read on this site some agents working for free or $20 per order. My turn time has been 24 to 30 hours on a 5 order package from EML. I think we will all agree IAS is a major player. The first order from them was an interior ($100), second order was an exterior ($40) stupid me, third order interior ($55) which I turned down......no more orders since.....guess I'm off their Christmas list.......new at BPO'S?.....don't think so

I think all we're going to set is "edit profile" until we've been accepted for work......correct me if I'm wrong but didn't they say they would respond in 48 hours (two business days)?

Have you gotten any orders in the past 10 days from EML? I usually get at least 10 (per week)
if not more. I've only been doing work for them for about 3 months but this is a first for me.

I was just at their site and saw 3 people on line....I assume that has to be good news.......this was at 3:42 pst....their site also said the same as EML....system would be down at 8:00 central time....this has to be an EML sister company....all is nearly the same....can't wait to see their forms.....lol

No work from EML either in about 10 days. When I inquired about that, my AM said it was a slow time for them and they were doing some training...maybe for new site? I'll ask tomorrow.

Does anyone know for sure what the relationship is between Equi and EML. EML has me nervous. I could easily take 50 orders from EML a week and stay 10 miles from my office. This week - 1 order and not close. I'm signed up with Equi but the only button I see is the Profile button.

I don't know that there is any relation, other than they both use the MindBrix platform.

And don't be nervous. We go through cycles with them like this every year. I bet if you look back at last summer's posts you will find similar worries...

I don't think EML and Equi-Trax are related. My husband is registered with EML, they will only take one per office. But it was me that got the invite.

I got an email today, and now my password and login work. From the intro page

"Starting July 1st, 2008, our base fee for an Exterior BPO with photos is $40.00; our base fee for an Interior BPO with photos is $50.00. If the drive-by BPO is completed online with photos and passes our quality controls within the first 48 hours, we pay you an additional $10.00 to a maximum of $50.00. If the interior BPO is completed online with photos and passes our quality controls within the first 72 hours, we offer an additional $15.00 to a maximum of $65.00. We also pay you an additional $15.00 for any rush request order completed within the designated time frame. "

Exteriors appear to be the same....price and time
Ineriors are cheaper but have an extra day to complete.

I can see where my concentrated effort will be. Interiors usually already have an agent assigned to them. With gas at $4.50 a gallon and a SUV that gets between 12 to 15 mpg it's not hard to do the math on this one. I hope these two companies are not related.....thanks ever so much for the update.....

No orders here either....I was at their site a few times today and only saw 3 people on line. That may be a sign that they don't have their team in place yet. The psst 10 days have been almost totally dead for me....just a few orders....This may be the perfect time for me to head to the east coast to see my oldest son as he's getting ready to head to Iraq in September.

Ya think we may look like birds of prey circling a dead body on their radar?.......I had a company last month post a ton of orders on their posting board (twice). I'd take one and three more would come up. I felt like a kid a candy store....I maxed out quick....

Their site is now up and running.....no orders yet......looks like this can be fun......same thing on the two minute break between hits.....sure glad they have different colors than EML..
click equi.....wait one minute hit EML...wait one minute hit equi again..both are saying the "sorry, we have no orders.....". I believe the key is the ability to handle rejection (sorry, we have no orders...) kind of reminds me of my first year in real estate.....WELCOME TO REAL ESTATE 101A...LOL.......if anybody gets an order from them I would appreciate an udate....just a wee bit concerned as I only see 3 persons on line.....not the normal 15 to 18 as with EML

Did anyone notice they offer direct deposit? They do, which I like, better than waiting for a check to show up. Hope their pay schedule is the same as EML and not LA.
