Nope probably the same..notice in the fee portion (I couldn't fill out) that it was blank...are they gonna give the BPO's to the lowest bidder?

I got the e-mail yesterday but am reluctant to take on anything more. As a one person operation I am about as saturated as I want to be at this time.

At my age, with retirement as an option and wanting to still "have a life" (apart from real estate), I have all the work I really want.

Yeah I would want to see the fees. Unless I am getting 90 to over 100 dollars I am not doing them anymore as I am focused on my listings which make me much more per hour.

Can someone please tell me what an "APR" is under the section of services I can perform for this company?

By the way, they had my EML data too.

I would guess APR is appraisal.

That's probably it. Thanks
I wasn't able to check inspection, but I culd check APR. That doens't make sense.

Based on their application form I think this is a sister company of EML...If it's not litagation is just a step away. EML's job posting board dried up this week which makes me think this is a sister company and new work should start this coming week. One of the current postings stated "I hope they pay better". EML pays pretty much what the standard has been. I had one other company (major player) pay me $100 for an interior, then next order $40 for exterior, then next order $55 for interior....turned the last one down......At least at EML no games are played and a great company to do business with. EML is by far my favorite to work with.....great communication, easy forms to complete, and they pay every two weeks like clock work. I just completed my 50th BPO in 10 weeks for them. I'm slowly weeding out the companies that I prefer not doing business with. I can only hope my assumption is correct about this being a sister company as my loyality is with EML.

I love EML too. They just sent out checks on Friday and mine was in the mailbox on Saturday! They are the quickest to pay by far. Interesting to see what this new company has to offer.

Jim:

Have you ever had EML form "G". While I agree that EML is generally a good company to work for, saying that their forms are easy can only be based on the form they assign a property to. Form "G" is a BPO verison of an URAR.

Only people who have only been doing BPOs for 6 months or less can say that $50 (if you get the 'bonus') is 'standard'.

I have only had that form twice and know what you mean. I'm sseing more of this the past few months with other BPO companies. Apparently it's what their clients want and we have a choice to make. I knock out about 15 to 20 BPO's per week along with working with my buyers and sellers. If it becomes too time consuming I will either cut back the number of orders I take or just go onto another company. EML has been good to me so I tend to lien their way more than most agents would.

Only doing BPO's for 6 months?......hmmmmm......Let me see now
....My first BPO was in Arizona in 1979......price $40...when they said drive by that's exactly what it was....no pictures and no comps. I would go back to the office and pull up the tax rolls and see the current assessment and add 10% to that figure and would be very close to appraised value. Those were the good days...now we have to work for our money. As for $50 being the norm that applies to my area only. It may be more in the city of San Francisco. We have a ton of agents here competing for orders...most of mine are now called into me directly. I read on this site some agents working for free or $20 per order. My turn time has been 24 to 30 hours on a 5 order package from EML. I think we will all agree IAS is a major player. The first order from them was an interior ($100), second order was an exterior ($40) stupid me, third order interior ($55) which I turned down......no more orders since.....guess I'm off their Christmas list.......new at BPO'S?.....don't think so
