With the exception of states which require the LO to be licensed and/or meet that states particular CE requirements. The corporate office should help you obtain this, however it tends to be costly and time consuming.

Alvin, In KY all licensed real estate agents are exempt from the Ky law that says loan officers must be licensed. This allows an agent who pays a fee to the Dept of Financial Institutions and is properly registered to take loan apps and help his client find a loan during the process of home purchase. Exempt agents cannot do refi's only purchases for their clients. I think their are other states with this exemption and this is the only other path to loan origination other than private mortgages.
